  The owner is a (racist?) pig. I'll never step into this place again. It's a shame UC contracts with such a person. If you know how we can make a formal complaint, please let me know!

  Zero starts for service, 3 or 4 for food, depending on the item.
  
  After a very positive first experience, a really frustrating one. The biscuits with ham, gravy, and an egg were barely room temp--nowhere near warm. After really not enjoying my first bites of cool soft-boiled egg, I asked if they could heat it up. No, no microwave. I asked how what temperature they intended the dish to be served, after which point the chef came out to ask what was wrong. I said that the dish was cold. She told me I was wrong. "It's not cold. The eggs are in my steamer here." (As far as I could tell, the eggs were in a tub next to the steamer, but why split hairs?) I clarified that I didn't mean to say that the dish was chilled, just that it wasn't at all warm. She continued to contradict me, saying that the eggs were in HER steamer (never mind that that the ham was slightly cool and the gravy was not warm either). Eventually, she grabbed the plate out of my hands and asked hostilely, "What do you want instead?," as if I were being so unreasonable that the only response was to get me to shut up. I said that I didn't want anything different and that I didn't want them to have to make something completely new; I just wanted a dish that wasn't so cool. The chef continued to tell me I was wrong about it being insufficiently warm, at which point I just walked away. This is not at all what I expect for a place without table service that charges $15 a dish.
  
  Good lemon almond cake though.
